Your knight fights on his own. Everything else is your call.

Pico Slash is a pixel-art auto-runner roguelite. The blade takes care of itself — you decide the road, the cards you spend, and how hard you lean on a slot machine that is either your best friend or the reason you died.

The machine is the game

Shrines dot every stage. Each one costs a coin and pays in effects: a sharper blade, thorns, a second wind, a curse you did not want. Twenty symbols, fifty-three ways to read a grid, and five coins that each rebuild the machine around themselves — one bans your best symbols, one guarantees a crown, one spins a single reel and dares you to care.

Twenty artifacts change the machine itself rather than your stats: they weight the reels, rewrite how a line is read, or turn a bad spin into a debt the next one has to pay.

Three cards, and no deck

No draw pile, no shuffle, no discard. You carry three cards, and playing one means no longer having it. Burst clears a wave. Gigantism makes you huge and your blade splash onto a second enemy. Purify strips a curse — if you kept it for the right curse.

The whole question is when, and the run keeps asking.

Four bosses, four different questions

  • The Colossus — armour that only yields to accumulated pressure. When do I spend my burst?
  • The Stalker — he marks you, and while the mark holds the pack keeps coming. Do I burn a purge on him?
  • The Matriarch — she webs your strongest card. It stays in your hand and refuses to leave. What else have I got?
  • The Dragon — out of reach, then he inhales for three seconds. Any card cuts the breath short. Do I still have one when the window opens?

Three worlds, earned

The Demon Woods teach you. The Nest opens when you beat their boss, and hits harder. The Grove waits behind the Matriarch, and does not forgive.

Between runs, a talent tree spends diamonds — which only elites and bosses drop. It never raises a stat: it widens what is possible. A bigger hand, one more offer at the merchant, shrines a little closer together. The game stays winnable with an empty tree.
